Amy Fleming (15). Heartland is the only life fifteen-year old Amy has ever known. She has always been better with horses than with people, a trait she shares with her mother, Marion. When her mom dies in a tragic accident while trying to save a horse, Amy wishes it were a nightmare she could wake up from. But the realization that she has inherited her mother’s gift with horses gives her the confidence, courage and solace to move forward with her life. Through healing horses, Amy is able to heal her own heart.

Born and raised in London, Ontario, Amber Marshall is one of Canada's rising young talented actresses. She trained as part of The Original Kids Theatre Company in London for four years and has appeared in numerous film and television productions for her age, displaying a remarkable range and vulnerability.

Marshall was nominated for a Los Angeles based 'Young Artist Award,' for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special for 'Leading Young Actress,' for "The Elizabeth Smart Story," a movie-of-the-week based on the true story of the 2002 kidnapping of Utah teenager Elizabeth Smart.

A strong actress, she has had regular roles in two television series, "The Power Strikers" and "Dark Oracle," and has guest appeared on different series, including "Doc" and "Monk."

A former veterinary assistant who is passionate about all animals, Marshall has been around horses as long as she can remember. She has been riding since a very young age and says that the two things she loves the most – acting and horses – have come together to create this dream role of Amy on the "Heartland " series.

Away from production, Amber worked at the veterinary clinic near her home. She also took raptor classes, where she learned to work with falcons and hawks.
